In todays constantly changing world where the new is obsolete in only two or three years, where not only jobs change but professions change and disappear, how are you standing out?
In today’s world where there is always someone new trying to jump into your business or profession, someone showing up to take your clients or your job, how are you protecting yourself?
In this world where there is someone always wanting to take your place what are you doing to prevent that from happening?
And what you will find is that there are two distinct categories of people. Which one are you? The Functional or the Vital?
Functional people are the ones who are afraid to take that vacation because the boss might think they are not dedicated or that they might be replaceable.
A Vital person is one who takes that vacation knowing they will come back revitalized, energized and maybe even come back with new ideas! And they are the ones that the boss is afraid won’t come back!
The key to your future success is not whether you have gotten the right degree or the right certification but it is whether you have educated yourself and are knowledgeable enough to help your co-workers and your employer.
What will make you stop worrying about the competition is not the past but where you are living your future. What is your story? What are you known for? What are people saying about you that makes you stand out? What makes people want to do business and keep doing business with you? What brand have you created about yourself that will make people want to do business with you?
I am a professional speaker and I speak on numerous topics and I tell people all the time that I don’t get hired because I speak on Bullying or Self-Empowerment. I get hired because people want Steve Sapato to speak to their organization. I get hired because I am my own brand and people have a desire to hear me speak and for their people to hear me speak. My training often times is quite similar to other speakers training but it is the story that makes people want to hear THAT GUY (Steve Sapato) tell it and the way I tell it that makes me stand out.
Now I ask again, what are you doing to make sure you keep making a living next year and don’t get put of business by your competition?
I am Steve Sapato and I train people who to succeed.
